Muhammad Yusuf Jamal (often referred to simply as “MJ”) is an Associate Attorney in Yahya Hassan’s department, who graduated with his LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2016, whereafter he chose to further his studies by enrolling for his LLM with the University of the Western Cape, with a focus on International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law.
Muhammad completed his practical vocational training in February 2020 at the firm of Attorneys Anand-Nepaul, following which he was employed as the Group Legal Advisor for a national FMCG manufacturer, during which time he gained substantial corporate and commercial experience. Muhammad joined LFHP in September 2022 and was admitted as an attorney in October 2022.
Muhammad is a member of the Golden Key Society and has held executive positions at the Howard College Debating Union as well as the Muslim Students Association.
Muhammad’s passions include martial arts, wildlife and photography. He is also learning to ride a motorcycle and considers himself to be a seasoned cinephile.
